Seeking 2 BR rental in Giulianova (TE)/Abruzzo

04/06/2010 - 13:42

My wife (dual citizen) and I are looking for rental accommodations in Giulianova (TE) or along the Adriatic coast, either in the regions of Abruzzo or Marche starting in September, 2010. We will require a recorded and legal contract to continue receiving health benefits from the ASL/USL that we already receive in Tuscany. Ideally, we would like to find a furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Giulianova (possibly with an assigned parking space) or in an active year-round town along the coast. We presently live in a rental farm house in Tuscany but the owners will be returning from an overseas assignment. It is located 8 kilometers outside of Monte San Savino (AR). While that is not far, we have to get into our automobile to go anywhere and we are not able to walk around and to see and meet people on a regular basis. We need to improve our Italian and feel it's better to be in a town to interact with people more frequently in Italian than we do now. We are looking for a rental from September 1, 2010 to April/May, 2011 or longer. I can be contacted via email by replying to this posting. We have lived in Italy since 2007. We have experience in running a small guest house in Italy (jointly), in hospitality/event management (wife) and in IT consulting and project management (self). We are open to suggestions about living and finding a rental in either Abruzzo or Marche. We have previously visited these 2 regions and have stayed in Fano and Giulianova. In March, when we were in Giulianova for a few days, we had an opportunity to look at several places listed with Solo Affitti and one other private apartment. I would prefer to find a rental by word of mouth or privately than to pay a month's rental to a real estate agency (immobiliare). Please take a look at our respective blogs, moving2italy2 - The #1 source of links About, For or On Italy for those individuals moving, traveling or already living in Italy and my wife's blog, friends and family in italy, about what we are up to in Italy with photographs. Mille grazie and I look forward to hearing from you, Ben
