Does anybody know where you can get unroasted peanuts suitable for feeding to birds in reasonable quantities. We do buy a seed mix from our local consorzio for the seed feeder but we have a nut feeder that needs filling.

I have a 12 yr old dog, lurcher. His breathing pattern has changed when we go for our early morning walk, (at a very gentle pace). He wheezes, puffs and snorts....all very distressing.

If your LHD car  resides permanently in Italy, presumably you will have to obtain Italian plates for it. If it still has UK plates, will you not have to drive it back every year for it's MOT? It appears from previous threads and postings that a car must have a certificate of roadworthiness of some sort, either Italian or UK, in order to validate the insurance.

I think that an apology for this somewhat arrogant attitude is due to the people who are trying, under difficult circumstances,to do something positive to help a situation, that I,for one, thank God,am not in.

Ha,ha.Very funny(not).I would have thought that it was fairly obvious to anyone of average intelligence, that the collar is worn by the dog!

We are surrounded by fields used for grazing sheep, and the herds of sheep are often "walked" along the white road, along which we daily walk our dog. Ticks used to be a major problem and removing them with alcohol a tedious and sometimes lengthy process, the worst aspect of which was not  knowing when or where the tick would drop off! There's nothing worse than squashing a tick by treading on it with bare feet!!  We now use a Scalibor collar and have had no sign of ticks for the last two seasons. These are easily obtained from the Farmacia, cost about 22 euro and are effective for 4 to 6 months. It also repels sandflies, but not fleas.
