Butchers have definitely better quality meats than supermarkets. Ask your neighbours information on the best butcher. They will probabaly complain that the better butcher is expensive, a good sign.Complete Italian food by Antonio Carlucciowww.carluccios.com/products/product.aspis an invaluable guide to Italian food terminology.A friend recently recomended http://www.fooddictionary.eu/ but I have not used it yetUno spaccio aziendale is a factory outlet. I have no idea if this exists in the meat industry. If it is for bulk amounts they will not probably allow you in unless you have a food business.

Thank you so much Valentina. I know this is a difficult quest as most people with school age children generally move to large cities rather than rural Umbria. Hopefully however, someone who has a summer house  might be interested.

Do you have any neighbor? Looking up someone in Google might not bring good results as you need a person that works local and many people who do this sort of maintainance do not have a website. You might have slghtly better luck with the yellow pages http://www.paginegialle.it/ where you will find also companies that do not have websites. The reason for asking if you have neighbors as that in Italy you first ask if someone you know happens to know someone else who does the work. You also ask if they do it well and ask reasonable prices.Thismight save you considerable stress and expenses. Only if this fails you call someone out of a book/website.

Hi Serge,I am Italian and I do not know what's ABTA. However I work in the tourism industry and I can tell you that it is not unusual for travel agents to hold the deposit until the cancellation has expired. If a client decides to cancel the trip the travel agent can refund the deposit without additional administrative complications. In addition, the travel agent fee is paid off the deposit so the company running the cruise will in any case only get part of the funds.Said this, holidays through large tour operators must generally be booked through travel agents, any other holiday in Italy can be booked directly using the internet.
