LEGAL ADVICE ON LAND OWNERSHIP

We have an olive grove attached to our property which a local farmer has offered to maintain in return for most of the oil. If we allow him to do this does the land become his over time? If so, is there an arragement we can agree which does not affect our ownership of land? Any advice very welcome, thanks.

sounds to me not good deal. if he work the land for a time he may be able to claim it.

Thanks Paolo. We heard this might be the case. We will probably consult a lawyer about this so we do not make wrong decision.

You need a legal agreement detailing tme period and % of oil you get. Not as simple as one would like as we have found out with owning land-there are legal obligations!
