Here are some of those nasty words that can catch us out:
Noioso doesn’t mean “noisy”. It means boring.
Annoiato doesn’t mean “annoyed”. It means bored or weary.
Arrabbiato doesn’t have anything to do with Arabs! It means angry. So arrabiata sauce is “angry” because of the hot red chilli pepper in it.
