With 62% of the audience vote, Suor Cristina Scuccia, the singing nun, is the winner of The Voice of Italy 2 beating  28-year-old long-haired hard rocker Giacomo Voli.

The win will see the nun offered a recording contract with Universal but it is unclear whether she will take it since she often claimed that her time on the show was not to start a career but "because I want to impart a message". Suor Cristina thanked God for her victory and recited an 'Our Father' prayer.

During the final, Suor Cristina sang Noa’s ‘Beautiful That Way’,  did a duet with her coach, the rapper J-Ax, and performed her new single ‘Lungo la riva’.

At the end of March,  Suor Cristina Scuccia, a member of the Ursuline Sisters, took the world by storm when she appeared on the Italian version of talent show "The Voice" performing Alicia Keys' ‘No One’. Her video  went viral on YouTube reaching a record 30 million visualizations in a week, with Alicia Keys and Whoopi Goldberg tweeting about her. During that first appearance, the judges asked her what the Vatican would think of her singing, to which she replied, "I hope that Pope Francis will call me now!". She certainly did not expect  to win back then!
