New posts is "New Activity" that will show you everything new that you haven't read. There currently isn't a "mark read" functionality but I can look into that.Hope this helps!Ronald

Hi SusYour status ( Caso Fai?) is set in your settings. You can say anything about what you are doing or how you feel etc. Go to edit settings.Ciao

Hi - that is similar to the facebook/twitter things (if you use those websites) of what are you thinking.it is just a quick way to tell the community what you are up to.if you look at the main piazza page and stroll down you will see what others have filled in as a status.just click on the text and type in yours if you feel like updating.or you can very safely ignore it :)
