Pizza oven tools

Submitted by ac289 on

Hi,

Spent Christmas in the house and decided to clean out the pizza oven in the back of the fireplace. So on my next trip I thought I should try to fire it up and have a go at coooking in it.

My question to all you out there:

are the tools needed for a Pizza oven easy to get in Italy: Pizza peel, pizza brush (Copper) Etc.

Wondering if I should buy here and take or buy when I am over there.

House is in abruzzo.

Cheers Zeb

Hiring a small digger in amandola/sarnano/comunanza areas?

Submitted by Amaretto on

Is it possible to hire small diggers in this area? We need to dig foundation trenches for some small walls and the clay is beginning to sap at my soul, the idea of getting a digger in for a day or two is very appealing and would probably fulfil a childhood wish of Mr Amaretto too.

We have used a proper big digger and driver for more major work in the past and I know how pricy a game that is, am hoping its possible to get a smaller one to DIY and save the osteopath bills , unlikely I fear but worth asking you lovely knowledgable people.

Thanks, Am

Property investment

Hi all, I would just like some information. I have been lucky enough to invest a property from a family member in Italy. They are still alive but in old age. We have signed the deeds to say that the house is now mine a lawyer was present. Also the house comes with land. The land has been worked by the farmers across the road for years. Do these farmers now have a right to the land? Also, I have all the paper work to say the property is mine. Is there anything else i need to do?

I look forward to your thoughts

Francesca

I would like to make my own yogurt at home. &

I would like to make my own yogurt at home.  When I made it in England I used to buy a small pot of live yogurt to start it off. I've looked at the yogurts in the supermarket here but I can't see anything that corresponds to "live” on the packaging. frown  Can anyone tell me what I need to be looking for please?
