The Big financial stories from the last decade

Submitted by Gareth on

Now that we are entering the second decade of the millenium and an uncertain investment climate ahead, it is a good time to look back at the good times of the last decade to see what could wait in store for us looking forward.

The funny thing is that despite the ill founded idea that the markets were in one of the biggest boom periods in the run up to the Great Recession, the last decade actually had some of the biggest bumps in the road since the 1970's.  A few of them are explained below.

High Speed Internet

Submitted by Andrew on

I know that this subject has been covered almost to infinity, but to try and help some friends out, I'd like to pose the question again in the hope of getting a simple reply that I can then pass on;

Our friends live in Venarotta AP. They need high speed internet soon, but don't have a land line.

Can anyone recommend a solution?

Thanks;

Rubbish tips in Marche?

Submitted by Amaretto on

Can anyone advise where I can get rid of bulky rubbish - old sunbeds, washing machine, rubble etc anywhere round Penna san Giovanni, Monte S Martino, Amandola areas?

We used to put stuff in the 'isola ecologica' at Penna but now its just for recycling and I heard a rumour they have closed down all the local tips - I do hope its not true.

Cheers

Is anybody selling a concrete mixer in Le Marche

My mate Neil is about to drag the van and I up to Obi, in order to puchase a concrete mixer. But he'd much rather buy one second-hand, for obvious reasons. For my part I'd happily exchange a visit to a Marchegiano/a on a purchase mission for one to Obi, as there's a greater likelihood of a decent coffee/tea/beer at the other end. So if anyone's ridding themself of a mixer, please speak up sharpish! Thank you, Regards, Phil.
