The above airport opened in Aug 2008 At the present the main airline operating out of the airport are Orion Air a Spanish company who operate flights to Barcelona and Bucarest.However the 'Good News' is that Ryan air are negotiating with the authoroties.If they are succesfull this would open up Southern Campania which includes the Amalfi Coast. avoiding the need to fly to Naples and then a further 90mins journey.

oops apologies - going blind in my old age

Enel have sent a bill €266.31 They say it is for non payment of my previous bill.The house was purchased earlier in the year with power connected but not occupied.The property agent say that the previous owner finalised his bill.What i dont understand is why i would get a bill when the house was unoccupied  and not useing power.At the moment the builder cannot start renovation works till the bill is paid and electricity is reconnected. Any advice!

Anyone who came across the estate agent, Focus in Aulla, Lunigiana, may be interested in this newspaper report from Il Terreno. The British owners, Wendy and Martin Smith have been sentenced to six months in jail for embezzlement and the geometra to one year and nine months.

Looks like they are also facing another trial on similar charges in Pontremoli later this week.

Has anyone used the ferry from Livorno to Palermo?   If so, how long did it take?   This seems to be the only information that is missing from the from the GNV website.  

I know Genova to Palermo is 20 hours but I am hoping to arrive in Palermo no later than midday rather than late evening and have to spend the night in a hotel.

I am planning this for Christmas week and really prefer daytime driving.    As this is a first time venture all advice / opinions would be welcomed.
