Opticians in Marche

I am having a problem getting the right perscription for glasses here in Marche and wonder if anyone has any experience or advice to give. The route as usual is via the GP and then on to see the specialist at the hospital and then the optician to make the glasses up.OK so far, but as ever I am difficult and whilst the perscription is correct for my eyesight I cannot read a thing. This was sorted out finally in the UK by a compromise, but I have no idea how to achieve that here, will I again have to go back to GP back to specialist (whom was unsympathetic  when I tried to explain the problem)?or back to the poor bemused but trying to be helpful optician.A

I wear (independently of course) multifocal glasses and contact lenses, and have done for about 8 years.  Neither take any getting used to, and I can drive, see the computer, read a book, read a menu, see who is talking across the room, and the contact lenses in particular are comfortable.  I buy the contact lenses on the internet (international delivery) at half the price the optician can supply them for, although I have to have an up to date prescription (lasts a year).  It took a good optician to find, as you say, the right compromise, but my eyesight is good enough to pass a driving test as well as to be able to see to sign the form afterwards! Sorry I don't know an optician in Italy.

hi,as i have numerous eye problems i go to an occulista thats an eye specialist in amandola because i haven't got time to go to the doctor then the hospital etc so i went privately but it's relatively inexpensive for an all to thourough visit with the precription i go rond the corner to the very nice friendly optician(ottico) who makes the glasses,he has all the latest things and my glasses are complex as they have to deal with astygmatism, long site short site, they are transition lenses that get darker in bright sun and bi-focals ,have had no problems at all.
