We have friends visiting this week who want to go to Cinque Terre. We thought taking the train from Aulla via La Spezia to Cinque Terre would be the most expeditious. Any suggestions, tips, etc. Thanks,Fred

Thanks, had previously checked Dishpointer however no mention of 28.2 so am assuming it has moved or been discontinued since, according to Hoyle,  the SKY UK signal is not supposed to be accessible outside the UK although we subscribed (through a UK address) for some 15 years here and in Austria. When we switched to SKY.IT we continued on SKY FTA also, however returning after six months we cannot receive the signal here any longer.

Typically, to collect water from a spring source, one would install a tank of some sort and feed the spring water into the device. Usually, the tank is dug in underground and covered with some type of roof so that one can control the mosquito population. There are probably plastic or fiberglass tanks available which will seal off the collected water from the bugs. One then can draw the water from the "springbox" with gravity feed, if possible, or a small pump, and control the flow to whatever use one desires.

Gala, you have an extra zero in your number of US reps. It is actually 435 in the House plus 100 in the Senate. Fred

Thanks to all for the info posted regarding obtaining the forms, payment, etc. We went to our PO this AM (Licciana) and picked up their version of the F24. We were told "you have until July 8 to pay the first tranche" and that there are changes in the codici so we should go to the commune ("Patronato") to get the "new" info. Anyone else receive such instructions, true, false, or otherwise? thanks, Fred

Check out Hotel Garibaldi in Mestre. They have a couple of garages for safe parking and the bus stop for Venice is just across the street. Fred

As we will not be back in Italy until May, cannot help now, however  I am sometimes available in and around Tuscany  as a "water dowser" and come pretty cheaply; lunch and some good vino suffices. I have successfully "dowsed" many wells in California, Hawaii, and Austria, found pipes, leaks, etc. Can "divine" the depth and measure GPM. Must be a moving liquid to detect. No magic involved. due castagne

Flip, re: "Around us in Tuscany we have fabulous Italian restaurants with a mouthwatering selection of home made dishes and Pasta to die for. We also have within an hours drive Japanese, Thai, Indian, Chinese oh and a MacDonalds." Where does one find these "Japanese, Thai, and Indian," restaurants? Are you around Lucca?

We had a similar situation regarding a piece of agricultural property adjacent to our's that we were purchasing a few years ago. We attempted to get the two neighboring agricultural property owners to sign waivers, however only one agreed. A local friend took us to the area ag office where it was determined that the non-agreeable neighbor was not registered as a farmer and therefore had no rights of prelazione. Would suggest beginning with a visit to your local ag office to determine the legal status of the neighbor as it relates to being a legitimate, registered farmer.

Al, thanks for your input. The biting fly seems most likely. Reaction lessening as she took antihistamines right off. Fred
