So now my wife has residence status we want to go about the process of notifying ENEL etc so reduced bills will be issued for these services. Does this apply to water, electric, telephone and town gas (if you have it) only? Anything else?
We are having some relatively high end cotto tiles put down in the kitchen and living room. Our geometra is recommending that we have them treated with a waterproof coating.
Does anybody have any experience/knowledge re organising Christenings in Italy? We had the idea of getting our kids Christened in the local church next year and are planning to approach the priest this summer.
Thanks for this Ram. Am surprised at your prediction re costs. Had assumed it would be considerably cheaper as no foundations/walls/flooring etc required.
This was really useful. I tested the product bought on a few spare tiles this summer and it wasn"t too shiny. Will give it a go in the spring. Thanks a lot
thanks for this. The traditional wax method does seem like a rather drawn out process compared with painting on a couple of coats of resin and I'm not sure it will actually look any different with wax. I have also heard that wax surfaces are still prone to marking/staining.
Thanks Yes I think I did see this in one ferementa (white bottle, green writing?) but they seemed to indicate it would kill just about everything. Do you have experience of using this under vines?

That's very interesting. I assumed as it has a tiled roof that made it a permanent structure. Will see what can be done. Thanks for the response.
Alan/Gala - appreciate the response on this. Will check the link out
