Logic says that this cannot be legal? There is something that inherently seems wrong with this car insurance and MOT 'thing'. I can't understand for instance how there is  only a single insurance broker (Stuart Collins?) who will give you a full years cover. The small print to my recollection suggests that 'things should be alright', but wether that covers you if you are in a SERIOUS accident, I'm not so sure!Equally, driving a UK registered car here in Italy for years also seems inherently wrong as one is SUPPOSED to re-register here aren't you? So, again, if you have a SERIOUS accident ,insurance coverage may not come through? When you look at the ridiculous cost of cars and their insurance here, why doesn't everybody just buy the car in the UK, insure it there, say money and then flout the law?S

Not OFFICIAL LifeguardsI was under the impression that 'you' as the owner etc could be assigned the post of lifeguard, I'm not aware that any official training requirements are necessary. A previous answer is correct with regards the depth of the pool (greater than 1.4m)

Hi Jo........Yes it looks like the ADSL conection speed here in PSG is not the best, in the last few days I have spoken with 4 friends and they all seem to have a download speed of roughly the same as yours (just over .6 meg).............A friend in Santa Vittoria is getting EIGHT times that speed(4.6Mbps)!!I am usingidoka and that seems to be a constant 1.2mb, which is 'fine', but certainly not great ! I wonder if it is related to the distance from the telephone exchange? What is your contracted speed with 'Alice' ? I assume it says 'up to 7Mbps'??Cheers,Off to watch Liverpool............S

Hi Jo,Please try speedtest again ............I'm interested to know the other two measurements , the upload speed, and the download speed (the most important for receiving info), the 69 or 73 will be your 'ping' rate (not desperately important).I have a friend who has just got onto broadband here and is getting only half my speed, and another one gets 4 times my speed!Cheers,S

Yo Jo!,What is your ACTUAL connection speed to the Internet?..............I'd be interested as I may go down this route myself(it does look GOOD!).............you can check your speed through the Speedtest site...........www.speedtest.netIt takes 2 minutes,.............. but you get an accurate reading...........Also,.............. is this 'access' legal ? (it seems a very indirect route?)Cheers,S

There is a fire called (I think!) a Volcano, which connects up to your boiler and radiators which comes HIGHLY recommended. I have not got one as it needs an early decision as you need to plan your plumbing (we already had ours all sorted ) . Given the chance again I would DEFINITELY go with this one...........because we had already progressed beyond he scope of the Volcano, we put in two Jotuls (the F3 and the F4 models)..............VERY efficient, we also have 'on tap' gas(via a bombola) central heating, but it's a bit like burning 20 euro notes!..........................as I said given the chance, I would have gone with the Volcano.Good Luck,S
