Hi everybody, I'm looking forward to going to our Casa in Calabria in three weeks time. I will be going on my own this time so I will have to practise my italian and do all the driving!

Hi Everybody, We had a wonderful 3 weeks at our little Casa in Calabria. For the first week we relaxed and enjoyed being in Italy. The next 2 weeks we were D.I.Y.crazy!!

Hi I have just had my 5th Italian lesson...and boy was it hard work!! I wish I could wake up one morning and be fluent in Italian!

When we booked our flight out to Lamezia we never expected to be mopping up rain inside our Casa!! We arrived on the sat evening and had a drink or two at our fav wine bar on the way home. We even sat outside as it was so warm.

Hi, Having just got back from Calabria and Im driving as normal here in Bournemouth,why do I have such a worry on Italian roads?? Im normaly a good and confident passenger & driver in UK but in Italy im a nervous wreck!!

We are flying out of Bournemouth on Sat with the lovely Ryanair. I will be making sure that our hand luggage is just under 10kgs. My coat pockets will be full as well!!
We are off to our little Casa on Saturday and we can't wait! I will be trying out my newly learnt italian and hoping to surprise my O.H!! Alas my teacher cannot spend any more time with me as she has now got a fulltime job...at a language school of all places!! I will be lookimg for another local tutor when we come back from Italy in May. Easter in Bournemouth was a mixture of rain sun & chilly weather. We are hoping for warmer & sunnier in Calabria...only 4 days to go!!!

Hi, Iv'e not read this other forum so I cant personally speak from experience but if the content is so unpleasant we should all avoid it!!! I do think that " Our" forum is so useful and all the people here are very helpful. Surely being nice & helpful is the whole idea!!
I think its a good idea!! But I think they should be put into schools where the pupils are at least 12 years old.And they should defiantly be free!!!
Thanks for all your helpful comments. I love your website Susan, its sounds like you can speak italian like the italians!! My lessons are on a one-one basis which I think helps me to concentrate on what my teacher is telling me. I know I would get too easily distracted if there were more people in the class. This weeks lesson was fairly easy as it was only a review of what ive already learnt. I'm looking forward to next weeks lesson but in no hurry to do the homework ive been left!
