Hi, I'm new to the community and this will be my first (of many!) question. My wife and I will be spending 6 months a year in the beautiful Tuscan appenines starting next year.

Being a Quantity Surveyor in the UK  and having restored 2 properties in Italy I may be able to help both with the translation and the content. Send it through and I'm happy to have  a quick look. Unfortunately I'm busy next week in Italy - organising builders on my retirement home! - but I'll see what I can do.Unfortunately restoration in Italy is expensive - it's often cheaper to buy a finished property but you may not get exactly what and where you want.

Many thanks to you all. I've already downloaded the information and will be trying various bat/owl/dormice and different size bird boxes but not until next year unfortunately. Hope to come back to you and let you know how successful it was

Hi! I've joist joined and this is my first posting.I'm in the process of having an old farm building converted/extended and am paying €18/m2 to have the new floors sealed (it was €33 to have them laid, my supply), so not cheap. But only 90m2.The description is "Trattamento pavimenti in cotto, comprensivo di pullitura e trattamento con prodotti impregnanti ed idrorepellenti, la spazzolatura con spazzola al carbonio, il trattamento finale a base di cera"
