I would suggest this forum for a search on "estate agents" and any other forum specific to the area you want to buy BEFORE you go. Probably better to update your post with details of the area to get the best response. Best of luck

I've grown them for over 30 years, both outside and in my greenhouse (with cucumbers alongside) and had very few problems(the occasional bitter one not eaten straightaway). What I have found is that many a shop bought zucchini have been bitter, but invariably these have been old (you can tell by the colour of the skin how old they are, darker green the older). I've also found out of a number bought if I keep one or two a week or so, they are often bitter, whereas those eaten earlier were all fine. I suspect they get bitter over time.

... a missing factor is the pending general election in the UK... If one of the parties has a clear win in you could find stirling rallies for a while. If it were not for the pending election, stirling would be much higer than the 1.1539 it stands at today.....

My understanding was that they have 10 seats at £20 to start off with , once they have been sold the price goes up 10% (or whatever). Hence if more people are booking, then the dearer it is.... And yes of course the earlier you book the cheaper it is... There was a time people used to scramble to get on their site when the next batch of flights were due out. Think that went when the credit crunch came.    :)

My wife would prefer a room temperature of 25c , where as I would be happy at under 20c. Still this gives us a little hope that within the range of say between just under €1000 to €4000 a year for fuel in Italy, we may be able to get down to at least near the lower end. If all the talk in the press here in the UK is to be believed, then the amount we will be paying in a few years time could possibly double. I doubt this will be any different in Italy, indeed if not worse over there.

... over there after reading this post.... Are we really looking at such high fuel bills? Anyone out there know if 12v lighting can be installed and would it make any difference at all? More to the point, if I read it correctly, heating being the largest portion of the cost of fuel, would having an ample supply of wood (1-2HA) be enough to reduce the costs drastically. If so what would be the best system to employ on say a 150SQM 1950's house with the best insulation possible - no heating at present?
