Anybody know of a really good lawyer that speaks excellent English and isn't too expensive! Once again my neighbour has put a spanner in our building works and this time I am REALLY angry!

We are renovating our bathroom and my partner is getting a tad frustrated as he can't find what he wants to plaster it. In the UK he uses a multi-finsh which he puts over waterproofer that has been laid on the base of sand and cement.

Without going into the long and boring back story (which I will if somebody wants more details) can somebody please tell me what the laws are concerning erecting a wooden shed on a concrete base in our back garden.

Sorry - started to type the post and got dragged out by my partner for a walk in Posillipo! So here goes: we have been 'given' a small plot of land by our neighbours to look after and grow veg on.

Hello, can anybody give a definitive guide to what licences are required for owning a boat in Italy? I understand that the motor needs to be registered, as does the trailer if it is an Italian trailer.

We have received a letter from our neighbour's solicitor (they have never spoken to us and don't like us!) quoting Article 892c.c. and saying we have damaged their garden wall by planting our fruit trees up against it. What is Article 892 c.c.

Just received our F24 and been on the Agenzia del Territorio to try and find out how much our house is worth - and they don't have any information on it in their archives! Great. So now how to I find out how much it is worth. We bought it for a pittance in 2005 and had it done up then but locals seem to make-up their own prices when they come to sell round here so how do I get its true worth and make sure we don't pay too much IMU?

Thanks to everybody who replied to my post on looking after an allotment. Since I posted it we have planted out our veg (including 106 tomato plants!!) and have indeed had many words of advice from our neighbours/owners of the plot/ friends and fellow gardeners! I've learnt everybody does things differently and has a strong opinion on what's righ and wrong; when to plant, when to water; how to rotivate, how to space plants etc.etc.etc. But it has all been done with good humour and the feedback is that they are impressed with our commitment to the plot, so as long our plants produce some veg this summer I shall be very happy! P.S. the allotment is not in Posillippo (I wish!) but in Castel Volturno a much poorer town 30 mins north of Napoli!

Sorry - started to type the post and got dragged out by my partner for a walk in Posillipo! So here goes: we have been 'given' a small plot of land by our neighbours to look after and grow veg on. We have little/no knowledge of keeping an allotment and whilst have taken some educated guesses plus advice from the locals would be grateful for any hints or tips on how to keep the wild grass down after planting our veg, and to keep the bugs away etc. Or if you can direct me to a website about 'ortos' in Campania as all info on Italian gardens seems to focus on Tuscany! Thank-you! Jane

Thanks Raggio - this is really helpful. Since I posted this our friend brought in his lawyer who was appalled our neighbour's had sent us a letter cos our fruit trees our only small and has written a stern letter back! Let's hope this matter is now settled, although I fear they may find something else to complain about!
