Forget Amandola. Go to the computer shop in Sarnano, opposite the market square. He is very helpful.

Thanks for that Badger We bought a tim sim and put it in a dongle but we have to go into amandola to get reception.

... only way is to know who gives best cover, either use a UK mobile that gives details of reception or go on the sites to check coverage e.g. TIM is http://www.tim.it/coperturaumts/c/italia/selezionaprovincia.do It also depends on what periods you are in Italy, if for good, then look for a good DSL provider WIFI or landline... If only now and then, most of the big ISPs WIND etc do PAYG type monthly contracts circ €20 per month, but if you are away more than a month it's best to stop and then restart on return e.g. WIND is €10 to reconnect...Note we can not get reception in 4 rooms here, but the rest are great...
