Hotel in Lucerne with car parking...lunch in Piacenza?

Several years ago we stayed at the 'Best Western Hotel Rothaus' - not too bad  Nowadays about £100 a room plus 22SF for private parking [book when you book the room]

Best Western are a good hotel group, usually if I go to a meeting that is the hotel I am booked into, great service.

Lucerne is too close to my place so I will probably never stay there, but I have stayed just short of there, in Sursee, which is a really pleasant little town with good hotels and restaurants. Probably better priced than Lucerne too - you might like to check it out on Tripadvisor unless you can get a good recommendation from here.
