Bassilichi Spa is relying on the sun for energy production.

The Florentine company recently presented a solar panel prototype as a preview of the panels to be installed at the San Martino factory in Siena.

The company, a national leader in technology outsourcing for banks and other subscribers, opened its doors and explained how to transform progress into market advantages.

It chose the theme 'Nature and Technology' in order to garner interest from young people.

Nursery, elementary and middle school students from Monteriggioni and Castellina in Chianti decorated ten panels especially for the event.

Bassilichi Spa, with its 150 million euro in sales for 2007, offers financial services, facility and back-office management and has offices in Siena, Florence, Milan, Rome and London.

It is a partner in various banks, companies and public administration groups. The firm's employment has jumped 40.2% over the last two years for a total of 510 employees.

General Manager Marco Bassilichi stated: ''The initiative confirms our ties to the Siena area through investments and partnerships. The agreement goes beyond the market - we rely on discourse within the environments in which we work.

''With our 'Il futuro ai giovani' project, we want to give value to the capabilities of the new generation that will meet progress through contact with technology''.
