Romagna is prepping for summer by launching a card that allows visitors free or discounted entry at several museums, churches, theme parks, as well as offering discounted prices at restaurants, beach resorts and for public transportation.

Romagna, the south-eastern portion of the region that forms Emilia-Romagna, is a very popular destination in the spring and especially in the summer, when its coastal towns are invaded by beachgoers.

The Romagna Visiting Card costs 12 euro and is valid until January 6, 2015. It includes free entry to 48 monuments, including  the Fortress of San Leo, the Biblioteca Malatestiana in Cesena, and the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe in Ravenna (all sites not to be missed). All in all, it allows for savings of up to 215 euros on entries.

The card also includes discounts for bike rentals, a popular and fun way to explore the area.

The card can be bought online by visiting the Romagna Visit Card website.
