Eternal bachelor George Clooney has finally decided to put away his single man shoes and slide on a wedding ring with lucky lady and prominent human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

After being spotted this May in Italy's floating city, Venice, rumor has it that they will marry there sometime in September. You might be thinking, why is George not getting hitched in his famous Italian villa on Lake Como? A lack of privacy and a desire to keep the affair intimate were cited as the reason for choosing the home of the Grand Canal instead. A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: ''George and Amal want to be married in Italy, but they need a location that offers them and their guests privacy.'' Clooney is also a great neighbor and doesn't want to inconvenience his neighbors with a splashy affair sure to attract a lot of worldwide attention and paparazzi.

George Clooney is known for his long love affair with Italy; he purchased the €11.7 million Villa Oleandra in 2002, originally as an investment property, but soon fell in love with life the Italian way and was made an honorary citizen by the local government. Clooney once said that the purchase “changed my life in a very pleasant and unexpected way...I realized how beautiful life was in Italy and how it really helped calm me and not feel so pressured.”
