Demolishing/rebuilding v renovation

Well I know this has probably been covered before but this is new to me.

Looking at properties in Le Marche and Umbria, many are in very poor condition and I suspect that, to renovate properly and to comply with anti-seismic standards, it's a tricky and expensive job for builders.  So the alternative is to buy what is probably already a ruin, demolish it and then use the materials to build a new house from scratch on the same footprint or close to it.

Income Tax

Submitted by Lecce01 on

I work on a contract basis for a number of small companies and am paid nett of tax. I have been told that I need to complete a tax return but I don't know how to go about it. I though that as I was paying tax anyway it would all take care of itself but not so!

So, if anyone could tell me what the process is for tax returns (where so I have to go?  When do I have to file the return? etc) I would be really grateful.

Someone suggested that I register for partita IVA and that that my be simpler. I don't know!

Many thanks

Does anyone know an Italian lawyer in London/UK?

Hi,

I'm currently trying to help my elderly mother sort her affairs out in Italy concerning a small farm and cottage that she shares with her sister (left to them both by my grandmother) and really need the assistance of an Italian lawyer for this.

Both mother and aunt are fluent Italian speakers but are no longer able to easily make the journey to Italy and, being rather 'old-school', aren't comfortable with phone/email contact. To make matters worse my Italian is very poor and I would find it practically impossible to act as a go-between!!
