Thought it might interest those who would like to teach their own language in Italy or those who are looking for a job (whatever it is) in Italy. You could take advantage from being a native speaker! I run into the TEFL twitter account, then looke
Wanted to share with you these photos of last year Presepe Vivente. You could see the Nativity Scene but also old crafts.. It was set in a quarry with lights which enhanced the Christmas atmosphere; I cannot believe it was last year!
Whether you are the owner of a Hotel or a Bed and Breakfast or an Agriturismo or any other kind of accommodation, you may need to use some key-phrases with your Italian guests. The first thing - and most of you surely know this - to tell somebody c
Hi Berry happy you joined us. Thanks for sharing a little bit about your life and of your love for Italy. All people who have "cuore italiano" cannot help but return to their roots Have you travelled to Italy in the past?
here's a list of people who has showed to have a HIGH IQ level.. all from Sicily Salvatore Quasimodo - nobel for literature Giovanni Verga - writer Vitaliano Brancati - writer Luigi Pirandello - nobel for literature Tommaso Campailla (scientist) if it's not enough: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siciliani unluckily I got knowledge about sicilian people - maybe other members that visited more southern regions could be able to provide more names
I thinks that this thread has given the chance to start different topics or groups (I would suggest to create a group facebook style "those who hate Mr B" just to see how many members would join ) I won't spend a word about the other place... which would be again off topic with the reason why Tess started this thread.. re beeryspice, you are welcome to the community, like all members are of course. Thanks for having started a new thread and introduce yourself. It's a great think to learn something more about the members who join this community. All members should make an Introductory thread (and I realize that I haven't done it yet..). a delayed one would be appreciated as well, wouldn't it?
I would also give a try to Tele 2. There are many special offers. I've heard that some people had troubles with Tele 2 and Infostrada (many more with Infostrada). Anyway Tele2 is cheaper that Telecom. it can also give you adsl access. good luck!
There is no better town where to learn art in Italy than Florence, the place where Renaissance was born and developed! There are so many museums and monument where you can enrich your culture! I also suggest to visit Siena (just 1:30 minutes from Florence). In Florence there are also Universities for Fashion studies. I'm not sure if you are going to attend DAMS (which is also based in Bologna) ...so you are going to live in Florence, a wonderful town, cosmopolitan atmosphere, artistic resources... I strongly wish I was there !!!
Hi Berry, I think you should hold a Patente C (C licence), which allows you to drive vehicles over 3,5q and to transport goods - since Patente B is valid for vehicles till 3,5 q. I also know that your licence is valid in Italy if you come from a country that is part of EU, but it would be better to go at "Motorizzazione Civile" (should be the DMV, Department of Motor Vehicles) closest to you, just to be sure you don't need to translate it. You can find more info on this website: http://www.patente.it/ecom.dll/noAjax?idc=985 It's in Italian only so if you need any further clarifications don't hesitate to ask for. bye Valentina
