There have been some rumours of a possible downgrading of Ancona airport to a freight only scalo. Finally national government is trying to bring an end to the era of "an airport in every town" in which minor areas and comunities all wanted to have

Answer to: INAIL

Inail,is one of ( the many entities) around which taxation and social security rotates. They, evidently judging from the amount involved are  claiming the back payment of arrears ( INPS payments) which started when your husband became self employed and cover health/social security and pensions. These payments are (of course) obbligatory ( not considered as taxes as such) and are "usually" paid in three or four installments per annum, depending on your category of work.It is definitely your commercialista who is at fault in that he should have created your INPS/INAIL position when you started your self employment. There is nothing much you can do except make some kind of ricorso thru the commercialista to at least reduce the "fine/s interest" part of the payment...but don't wait too long these things in Italy are a bit like cancer ...they only get worse if left...

i was just talking to the men from CIIP our water supply company. It appears that the problem is far more serious than" hose pipe bans" they were saying that without significant rainfall we are risking water rationing which basically translates as water on for only a few hours a day..then off. They highly recomend that people who do not have them put in cistern tanks autoclave this, at least for a domestic household can assure water for a couple of days in the eventuality of water cuts..

As a tax payer, i only pay regular receipts or invoices ( as i only receive payment via recepts or invoices that i emit) if you stayed ANYWHERE regular your presence should have been registered along with your identity details ( this goes to the police and the local municipality then also to the tourist board) for your stay you should have had a receipt whilst the tourist tax has to be exacted by the owners/management on a seperate specific receipt (on which is written that it is the tourist tax etc)then the local authority can take it's money (tourist tax) in fact when i paid the bill in Toscana the other day i paid the receipt for the room by card but the tourist tax in cash however always with it's receipt..... IF, anyone wants to help this "broken"country then Always ask for ( or rather demand) a receipt.Only pay by cash for trivial sums otherwise use other payment forms (POS,DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS/BANK TRANSFERS/CHEQUES)Never pay any major works/materials/consultants fees or anything like that by cash( you wouldn't do so where you come from)and remember you are ostensibly renouncing ALL your consumer rights/guarantee rights/legal rights by doing so...sorry if it sounded pedantic but when one's tax burden goes over 51% of income one tends to become quite extreme..

this " tourist tax" is regulated at the level of single municipalities. Some ( many) of which are not applying anything others quite expensive.Just returned from Tuscany ( San Quirico d'orcia) where the bill for two nights was Euro 578. + Euro 4. for tourist tax someone was telling me they were paying in Roma an extra Euro 2 x night per person.

hi ,unfortunately i'm unable to give you place names addresses because i live in the Marche. However be aware that there are often a number of pools (outdoor) which are open to the public but are privately owned and run, this is quite often the case in italy in general. They are usually much better facilities than public run pools, often bigger or more pools, green spaces, better food and beverage services, and often cleaner.I know there is a big acqua-park place in the province of Teramo probably close to Tortoreto inland from the S.S. Adriatica, otherwise ask around in town...

i have never experienced easier parking in an airport anywhere.i have not and would never use a web site for this because there is always space and it's safe as the whole place being PRIMARILY a miltary airport the whole place is full of gun toting police.don't bother with hertz just park in the space take your ticket and pay with your visa on exit -ok

at least concerning RAI & MEDIASET transmissions it may well be due to the fact they they have already stopped all analogic transmissions (in the centre north of the country) in favour of digital terrestrial transmissions which require a de coder in order to see them.BTW one of the main producers of digital de coders is owned by the brother of former PM Berlusconi who gave the green light for the conversion well it keeps the money coming in -no?

yes, are in fact more expensive in general than in the UK or Germany. One possibility is to buy a LEFT HAND DRIVE car in the UK/BELGUIM/GERMANY bring it to italy and get it re registered here. It is also true that until recently automatic geared cars were quite uncommon in Italy with the exception of the very top end of the scale as many, including myself have issues with automatics. Now it's a little more common to find mid/lower level cars with automatic gears. Having said the the recession and high tax pressure is leading to a glut of second hand cars especially upper market models (automatics) especially big quite new mercs and audi's which can be found at good prices for quite new cars ( apparently many are being sold back in germany (?!) so the prices can't be that bad. While small versatile cars especially with alternative fuel engines ( methane/gas etc) hold quite a premium price. Thats the picture.
