So, if Extra virgin olive oil is one of the reasons Italians live longer, where can you get the real stuff, (not the industrialised supermarket stuff) outside Italy, namely in the UK?

There is a very good builder, (anglo italian) based in southern Marche, so not far from Abruzzo, I believe he is still operating, I have his contact details should you want to try contacting him, he is highly recommended.

not meaning to be difficult, but you have overlooked a huge part of Italy, the centre, marche, umbria, abruzzo, lazio, as regions they all have their hidden jewels, but consider Ascoli Piceno, in marche, as one to put on your list.....

The atto won't necessarily reflect the real buying price, it should...but doesn't always. Try this chap, he helped me out and although probably won't be able to tell you the pruchase price last time exchanged, he could check it over for you...I've used him and he really is very good.www.sites.google.com/site/buildersinspections

Hi MaggyI'm in a similar situation, looking at properties in the sameish area, southern marche, which has good connections to rome too, I would suggest getting in touch with this guy who helped me from making a mistake, he's very good, anglo italian, and has very good knowledge of the various pitfalls that one may come across...good luck!www.sites.google.com/site/buildersinspections
