Sorry can't help an more than the previous info; we just happened to be in Amadola one day (we live near Ascoli) and spotted our friend's UK plated Discovery. Having not seen them for some time we scouted around and found them in the stuffa shop. They had done their homework to find a particular stove, and visiting their house a few weeks later found the item installed and giving it some large. The heat inside their small property was incredible given that this little thing is just that; small but very efficient and nicely formed in a traditional way.If you would like me to I'll ask our friends permission to pass on their contact details. They live near Magliano di Tenna AP.

Our friends bought a wood burning stove in Amandola; don't remember the name of the shop, but as you drop down out of Amadola towards Ascoli there's a right turn, and the shop is up there on the left. Benefit also is that one of the guys speaks excellent English if you don't speak Italian. Our friends have found that even the small stove that they bought is very efficient.

As most people will be aware the demise of the paper version of ItalyMag is a great disappointment, and to those people who do not have internet access etc, things will simply come to a halt. The current financial crisis brings about these changes, and I wonder if the publishers have thought about those people without the 'net that have made subscriptions and therefore will be out of pocket?I'm not in that situation, however we'll miss the monthly update, and the chance as quoted to settle down with the mag and a glass of wine.

Silvio Berlusconi may be 73 years old today (more or less) but I reckon his hair is only about 43 years old...

Hey Donna; I can help you with some contacts for San Benedetto del Tronto but nothing in Ancona I'm afraid. I have a couple of players that in real life are estate agents.Have you considered offering 'house sitting' as a service? Lots of holiday / part time homes over here often needing someone to take care of the property and do a bit of gardening and maintainance.Craig contacted me, and he'll be in touch soon I hope.

My bones are 100% English, but for the past 30 years or so I've worked in Rugby as a professional coach and development officer, generally at a reasonable level. Whilst working in the Super 10 division here in Italy I worked with a fair few Kiwis; including some quite famous names. Hayden Pederson, Josh Sole, Kaine Robertson, Jim Love, Wayne Shelford, Frank Bunce etc, plus lots more.My mate in Rimini is called Craig Smith, and you can find him at craig.smith.nz@gmail.com - he lives there full time and could maybe help you with the accomodation situation; mention my name with pleasure.CiaoAndrew jeppo678@virgilio.it
