For those who are so inclined, this week at Lidl there's a feature on English food products (Apple Sauce; Mint Sauce; Mustard; Cheddar Cheese(?)); and quite a few more interesting items. If anyone is coming to Lidl at Castel di Lama; give us a rin

Hi Gala; Please don't be offended if I correct your English; it is usually 100% correct; however; We 'break' a crust of bread.'Brake' is the mechanics in the car that slows it down. It is a noun (I put the brake on), and also a verb (Remember to brake to help you slow down).Con stimaAndrew

Just a quick thought; if you let your car petrol tank get so low that you may end up running out, you are also encouraging residue to be pulled through the supply to the engine. Although most modern vehicles are fitted with a myriad of filters to avoid this; it seems logical to have your engine running as efficiently as possible, so try not to compromise efficiency by dragging gung through the system. Swings and roundabouts....

As you are quite near to Ascoli Piceno, I would suggest that there are some DIY places that will be useful to you. On the Commercial Road, next to the Osai Shopping complex there's a Brico - very similar to B&Q. Nearby there's another independant but you need to know how to find it. On Via Picena Aprutina between Maury's and the Mlitary barracks there's also a large builder's supplies. If you travel down the commercial road after Oasi / Brico to the very end - almost Castel di Lama - there's another Brico-fer, also similar to B&Q.

Since the disaster in Abruzzo individuals have been clear to send a donation to the fund raising. If I give you 10 euros to send togerther with your 10 euros, then it seems reasonable. If a few people get together; give you their dosh for you to send collectively, then I reckon that's the same. If you put some money in my wallet, I'll send it as if it were mine. No-one needs a receipt so give generously!I would respond to anyone that questions the motive and system of collecting monies by asking the 'questioner' if they have donated yet, and if not would they like to also. If they continue to give us grief, I would then postpone their next meeting with us until the Press can be present.

Maybe this would work;Everything is free but people are making a cash donation to a worthy cause. They are not actually buying anything.Just got back from Cash & Carry visit at San Benedetto; prices are very good and I think favorable. My mate with the trattoria is willing to help out in any way; and this evening he's arranged for me to meet with a rep. from a rival C&C from Pescara that delivers to him. I reckon if these prices from Pescara are favorable then we can get stuff delivered to Marco's place; he will store it (chillers / freezers etc) until someone decides to collect from him. If by any chance some of you guys are not doing anything this p.m., we'll be playing Touch Rugby at San Savino then we'll be eating at Marco's trattoria. If anyone wants to have a run around, then that's easy to organise also. Start time would be 19;45 ish ish ish.

Pretty well known that any perfumed substance applied to your body eyc will attract flying beasties. We spent almost 5 years near Parma / Mantova on the banks of the river Po, and the Tiger Mozzies there are like helicopters with a death wish! (towards you....!!!). Any deodorants / perfumes / hairsprays etc were to be avoided at all costs.Just out of interest we take a daily dose of Brewer's Yeast that keeps the mozzies at bay.
