We have been told that we can pay electric (enel) , gas and phone directly through bank but are unable to pay anything else like water (cams) , council charge .

We have a house in abbruzo . We paid imo at the post offce in our town in Italy. We were told we had to make a payment each ? Is this right? The house is in both myself and my husbands name? Do you pay IMO every year and will it be the same amount? Thanks. Ali

If your estate agent speaks English ask them , they may know of local people who speak some English. I did a crash course in Italian and that along with the use of translating program's I manage to get most things done. I found everyone very patience with me as they appreciated that I was trying to learn the language. Good luck !
