Hi,Could someone please tell me what the Italian equivalent of Exterior masonry paint is? Also what is a good brand and what the cost is per litre?I'm thinking of repainting myself on a future visit.
Having paid my first half in bank whilst in sicily, the gentleman from the commune gave me an iban code each for the state and the commune.
i'm not sure if i should have put this question in legal. recently hired a car in italy and returned it with damaged.
i want to get a new tv to take to italy or buy a new one out there but my question is what free viewing is availble out there?
people here have posted similar questions but things change.
i will be travelling to my place near menfi in sicily several times a year landing at trapani or palermo, depending on mr gadaffi...as it's very restrictive to buy a car in italy and i don't want to keep asking family to collect me each time, i ha
sending a parcel to my cousin in italy i am using google translator in which i enter 'fragile - handle with care' for english to italian translation, this is confusing for me because it gives exactly the same output as in english.
about 13 years ago i opened a deposit account in a well-known Italian bank in Sicily, the exchange rate was 3500 lire to the pound at the time and i changed a substantial amount of money for deposit. For certain reasons (which i won't bore you wit
Hi, i'm not getting email notifications when someone replies to my posts or sends me a private message, people must think i'm rude when i don't reply to them in reasonable time.
hi, i have posted this question in legal group then found this group which is probably more suitable. i'm trying to calculate the amount of inheritance tax i am liable for on a property worth €50.000 left to me by my mother in sicily, the rates ar
I can't talk about other parts of Italy but every time I’ve hired a car in Sicily from Palermo the staff never inspect the car with you, they just tell you where it is parked and tell you that it has been inspected by them.On more than 1 occasion I have had to go back to the office and point out damage or half empty fuel tank. Last time the car was dirty with wax drops (the car had been washed but not wiped with leather) in an attempt to hide damage but fortunately I noticed damage after a careful inspection. The care hire companies must be so desperate that they heavily rely on illegitimate claims for damage and fuel to boost their income. They must earn more from this type of activity than actual car hire costs.
Thanks again Fillide. That looks like the type of material i need, it's a bit more expensive now, cheapest i could find was white 120ish euro here:http://www.mdcolori.it/vernici/56-quarz-paint-acrilico-bianco-latta-da-lt-14.htmlI could have misunderstood my cousin about latex as my italian isn't great.when i'm in Sicily next i'll try to find a local store that stocks this paint and see what the cost is there.
Thanks Fillide, that's very interesting and valuable to me.I had a quick discussion with my cousin and he mentioned something about paint with latex in it, like the last in the list of emulsion paints. The price you say also sounds about right to me now that I have learnt that 2 coats would be needed (something I hadn't considered). The paint you mentioned using yourself sounds like good stuff, I'd be grateful if you could let me know the type.
Hi,This sounds similar but still not conclusive:http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g187768-i20-k5879694-Help_strange_bug_bites_in_Umbria-Italy.htmllooks like everyone is on holiday getting bitten.
not as confortable on the eye as old forum, seems to be a lot more empty space around content. i don't like change when not needed, probably old age.
as usual, very interesting post Charlotte. i personally don't believe in one size fits all either way. maybe there should be facility for exceptional cases (even in human rights context). in this case maybe people who have risked their life for their country should retain life membership so to speak.
the link which has a 7 in front of the italymag address which could be a spoof site set up for phishing purposes (still under construction at present). what concerns me is how andrea got email addresses, is it posible that site has been hacked? hope not.
I use a vodafone pay and go sim and an offer called 'internet card' which when activated gives you 300mb for 1 euro per day. inserted in my sgs2 and used as a hot spot. we can also browse on the phone as well with this so i'm pretty certain that it could be inserted in your tablet but not sure if a tablet can be used for tethering. i noticed the product when i registered my card on the vodafone site and activated it just prior to leaving uk. hope this helps.
found the following web page which looks about right. http://www.italy4me.com/index.php/living-in-italy/finance-and-tax/114-how-to-pay-imu-from-outside-italy
point flip taken but, the reasons you point out are exactly why i am not responsible. it didn't matter where i parked, millions of euros worth of damage took place in the town that evening. act of god is always mention in insurance talk. if you studied law you'll be aware that it's open to interpretation depending on how well argued it is, instead of people's personal opinion. my argument is that i had absolutely no control over events that took place. i've had a similar situation in this country where an insurance company told me adamently that i was responsible until i took the matter to the ombudsman, then a prompt review took place and the opposite was decided. is there an ombudsman or similar in italy? thanks.
