Hello everyone,Am I the only crazy

Hello everyone,Am I the only crazy person that acts as my own agente?  Ever since I bought in Italy 10 years ago, I do my own 'everything' - Imu/ici, Water, lekky, etc and organise people to do work by remote control and deleries etc.But for the first time, I have to ask if anyone had this problem before. As short a story as poss.: left the house with an electric heater running, still going when I returned two monhs later. I know I know - very lucky, didn't burn the house down and thermostat worked for two qhole months. paid the hefty €257 euros, but a second one of €304 on the same date made me think it was the same bill, just increased with the fine, up €47, right? Must be,  I thought, as the following bills didnt cuase a problem and were paid. So?Wrong, it WAS 257 PLUS 304. they let me pay the following bills, and two weeks ago I see on the site I was cut off. No-one speaks english on the special new line for foreigners (There WAS none up to now), but I got my Italian theough and, after telling me I sent the receipts to the wrong fax (he DIDNT RECOGNISE THE FAX NUMBER FROM ABROAD - obviously no one uses it!So eventually he goes and finfpds the receipts and tells me the lekky will be turned back on today. That was at ten Italian time this morning. Still not on, and I hacve guests at the weekend!Anybody have trouble getting turned back on?(Extra info: He started off telling me I should send in the bollettina (you know the little bit of your bill you get stamped in the aitalisn Bank/Post Office anfd fax in - except I told him I wasnt in Italy, and that I faxed the statements of my Bank's transfer to ENEL's BANK - listed on the website,LAST WEEK!Did any of you fax a statement of a transfer from tour UK/IRIS/US bank to get your lekky turned back on, andDID IT WORK?Would appreciate any advice to maybe go over the tellers head for example, for once I'm asking advice instead of giving it!After this I'm setting up an advice service for people operating in Italy from abroad as I WILL THEN KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!Thanks for reading folks,Benitalia

Hi Benitalia,I can confirm that I have sent payment receits to a fax number in order to get the lekky back ....they seem to have a special fax number that is part of the protocall of getting the lekky back, once it has been cut off. If you can send the fax it will make life easier for you in being hooked up again (important to include in the fax the reference number to the bill that is being paid so as they can co-ordinate the payment and re-connect you quicker).......if I remember correctly the lekky was back within hours of the fax being sent.Wishing you all the success and happy holidays!
