Clements international are no longer from january this year insuring expat cars in Italy. They have not informed any of their customers of this event They also have not registered insured details on the ANIA Italian insursnce datsbase  which legally they should do which means like myself having ten years no claims bonus have a '0' rating imstead of '5' . Also they should give clients the Attestato di Rischio stating the years of no claims thirty days before the policy expire. In our case they havent done this despite long seversl long distance  phone calls. Clements uk have been nothing but unhelpful and rude. Passing me onto a broker who,i have never heard of and who have never heard of me! We finallyngot a sort of certificate of no claims however with several errors, one it was in my husbands name who doesnt own the car, two there is no rating on the certificate. Clements say the itslian insurwnce companies can work that one out well thanks Clements for nothing!

Just to follow up on this I emailed Clements (still using the Italsure email address)  and had a very speedy and helpful response from what I guess is Clements UK. They did confirm that AIG (who they insure through) would not be continuing, so that is a bit of a hassle. They also said they would be responsible for passing on any request regards "no claims" to AIG for action. Ah well more to sort out on the jobs list. At least thanks to Diddy we have pleanty of warning as our renewal in August.
