The Prada Foundation’s latest show, “Art or Sound”, opens today at Ca' Corner della Regina, the foundation's headquarters.

The show, curated by Italian critic Germano Celant of the Guggenheim collection in New York, explores the relationship between music and visual arts. Spanning a 500-year period, the exhibit examines instruments made with unusual materials during the Renaissance, automated instruments from the Industrial Revolution displaying music with lights and colors, and avant-garde experiments by Italian Futurists Luigi Russolo and Giacomo Balla.

“Art or Sound” is open until November 3.

The Prada Foundation, presided by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, is dedicated to promoting contemporary art and culture. The palace of Ca’ Corner della Regina, where the headquarters of the foundation have been since 2011, dates to the 18th century and faces the Grand Canal.
