"Have a healthy sex life but careful with those thoughts"

Italian researchers led by Dr Emanuele Jannini of the University of L’Aquila have discovered that a healthy sex life can help men live longer.

However, in the country where 55% of men have extramarital affairs, there is a catch: this only works for men who are faithful to one partner.

Increased sexual activity, explains Dr Jannini, causes men to produce more testosterone, reducing depression and improving cardiovascular performance which, in turn, improves the metabolism. Men who have affairs, however, are likely to be suffering from stress, which negates the beneficial effects of more sexual activity.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph reports that Italy’s Supreme Court, the Cassazione, has upheld a ruling by a church tribunal in Modena [Emilia- Romagna] and a lower court which decided that a couple’s marriage could be annulled because the wife thought about having affairs, even though she never acted upon these fantasies.

So the message is, “Enjoy a healthy sex life but be careful what you think!”
