Written confirmation following the 30 day planning rule??

A lot of us are aware of the 30 day planning rule where you can do a lot of building works after you submit your plans to the Comune but you do have to wait 30 days before you start in order to give them time to object. My question is that do you get a piece of paper from the Comune which allows/gives permission for you to go on with your project.

Parking problem

I have a problem re parking in front of my apartment. My vendor said it was communal parking and so it was included in the contract. Should this not have been checked by the agent or notary before I signed the contract rather than just take the vendor's word which turns out to be wrong - I am liable to be taken to court over this.  Any help please.

Do Italian plumbers understand thermal stores?

I'm very worried about how our excellent plumbers are going to react to my request to install a Thermal Store with a wood stove incorporating boiler plus solar panels.

I've been skimming through information online and it seems that most British plumbers haven't really understood this tecnology.So are Italian plumbers any more informed?

Basically if you need to heat a house with a pellet/wood stufe you need to store masses of hot water - in our case 1,200 litres which then goes to the rads all over the house.If you just need dhw then 500 litres is more like it.

Tim Mobile Phone registered in someone else's name by shop

wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Recently bought a new Tim SIM card and was charged 15e for the card plus 20e for credit.   When I attempted to register my details on the Tim website in order to be able to make online topups etc I found the phone number is already registered in the name of someone else.

My wife and I are hoping to make the move to Italy in the next couple of years, we have decided on Abruzzo after traveling a fair bit around Italy in the past 10 years.

We are thinking of starting a holiday business and hope to share information and experiences with you all, I think it is going to be a steep learning curve but we are looking forward to it.
