Tuscan Rampini Ceramics Large 1-Handled Decorative Orcio
Shaped like a pitcher, this large orcio, or urn, is such an interesting piece of Italian pottery. In the Renaissance period, Italian nobility used painted orci, or urns, such at this one as decoration throughout Tuscan villas. This piece calls back to that tradition. This piece of Italian maiolica decor was handcrafted and hand-painted by Rampini Ceramics, in Radda in Chianti.
This Chianti One-Handled Orcio is 22" tall and has a 16" diameter at its widest point. The opening is 9" in diameter. Measurements are approximate.
