An event not to be missed. The 2nd National Exhibition and Fair for "Presepi" or Nativity sets, is going to be held in Bagni di Lucca as from the 4th of December at the Piazza Circolo dei Forestieri.

Hi! My youngest daughter, Natalia, helps as a volunteer in Save a Bunny San Francisco. They have at present more than 80 bunnies in the refuge and little or no money.

Just a reminder that the Iris Gardens in Florence will be open this year between the 24th of April and the 20th of May. A magnificent collection with over 2,500 varieties.

Wikis are totally new to me and I have to get used to this; however, I think that Garda's idea of a sitemap with content listed in an orderly manner is great and the way to go.
As you say, reconstruction work is going to be very important in order to help local craftspeople and Abruzzo has a long tradition of very talented people.I am sure that a high rank Spanish representative will attend, possibly the King himself, as he was born in Rome during the exile of the Royal Family and he loves Italy.
I understand that the Spanish government is in the process of organising funds for the restoration of the Spanish Fort. It was a personal request made by Berlusconi to Prime Minister Zapatero when he was asked about what kind of help he wanted to have for Abruzzo.
I feel sorry for the people of La Maddalena as they had very high expectations. At the same time, I am not sure whether moving the event to Abruzzo is going to bring any real benefit to the victims. And it is not difficult to realise that the staging is going to be a logistics nightmare.
Girona (on the Spanish side) may be a good alternative, but I do not see anything direct from Brindisi. From Girona you will have to drive to Gruissan. Up to now, the less complicated seems to go all the way from point to point by car. Unless you could get very cheap connecting flights, which may be difficult or impossible to find.
There are still some gremlins in the system which will be sorted out very soon. Go to the group you wish to join and follow the instructions. It looks more complicated now, but it is not really. We all need to get used to this. :)

This should have been the initial post for the new "Northern Tuscany" group. What went wrong? I think I did the same thing that I did for the "Gardening" group. I will check but please give me some clues.
I have just opened two groups, Gardening and Northern Tuscany which I started in the old forum and which were quite popular. Let's see how they go.
