Just enjoyed a lovely bass cooked on the BBQ.  Not being very scientifically minded, if I was to bury the remains, head, bones and tail and plant something on top would it rot down and become what we know as blood, fish and bone ???

But sorry, that is just too early for me, especially as everything is behind, growth wise due to weather....  If anyone else is interested in cut flowers, I am growing a few and am happy for people to 'pick their own'  bucket full, for 50 euros or I can pick for you....A great way of providing lots of flowers for special occasions at little cost......

I believe it was agreed 10yrs ago and, dare I say....money has already changed hands..... I do really think EVERYbody should be opposing this....we live in such an unspoilt, natural landscape, before you know it ........they will be heading your way soon     Plan is to take electricity from photo voltaic farms in the south up to the north  ?  So best to take it through beautiful, unspoilt mountain route with few peeps that will have to paid compensation....Do not think you will not be affected, proposed route may need tweeking ????

I have  just looked on Amazon and of course they do sell peanuts for wild birds...Exp of prices are, 5kgs - 14.99 or 12.75kgs - £28.49.  Both of those are eligable for Super Saver Delivery so in theory all orders over £25.00 will be delivered free to Italy... I think it may be the way to go ?

to all for their comments.....as Annec says, maybe different dialects means different food likes and dislikes...so very Italian.... Sunflower seeds jammed in the bark of the oak trees by the Nuthatches sometimes germinate, looking very weird when they flower half up the tree !  We also have Redstarts nesting in our portico late Spring /early Summer, this year they produced two broods. I for one would really miss life with few feathered friends nearby so do need to find a source of bird friendly nuts....Off to consorzio with dictionary tomorrow to try to explain what I need...wish me luck ! Gail, will try Indian shop in Tolentino when passing and Gala, Brico...when I can, meanwhile will look on Amazon site....Andy..yep will try nesting boxes too...thanks again all.
