The garden is at it's most colourful now with iris's and roses looking good. Thinking ahead, I find July and August there is a lack of flowering plants.

We have a small satellite dish pointing to Hotbird and using an Italian Sky decoder received RAI 1,2,3, as well as Mediaset 1,2,3 and 4. We also received umpteen other stations including BBC World News and Euro News.
At the moment we have a small amount of money transferred from the UK, on a monthly basis, to our Italian joint bank account. If we were to transfer a one off sum of 3,000 plus euro to this account, would there be a tax implication, and if so, at
I live in Marche and have had, for 4 yrs now a plumbago growing in a pot as I thought it was not hardy enough to withstand the winters here.
I need to find a supplier of bay, lauris nobilis, to create a 100m hedge so am looking for approx 300 plants. Am I too late to buy bare root ? Can anyone recommend a supplier in Le Marche area. Many thanks.
Did look in search box for answer to the above but did not find a supplier? Does anyone know of one capable of providing mixed seed in bulk, native to central Italy.
Can anyone recommend someone in the Sarnano, Gualdo, Fallerone area who could repair a washing machine ?
I have a good vacuum cleaner, but need an attachment that has a brush angled at 90degrees for cleaning the dust etc off the tops of umpteen beams.... Can anyone recommend such a thing ?

Please note also that the John Lewis £7.50 delivery charge excludes some items, such as electrical goods. So no good for coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, which, in the main, are considerably cheaper in the UK than in Italy.
So ? Amazon have been delivering most items over £25 to Italy for free !!!
if we do go off topic...thats my thoughts............and maybe even makes the 'sometimes' boring thread a bit more interesting....
If you want to download books from Amazon UK rather than Amazon USA then don't buy your Kindle from amazon.com because you will then always be automatically directed to the American site, and only be able to choose from their selection - unless you are able to re-register your Kindle. I would suggest that you visit the Kindle Store on amazon.co.uk and read the threads in the discussion forum, there is a lengthy debate on this topic. It seems that it's best to buy your Kindle from amazon.co.uk and have it delivered to an address in the UK, then send or bring it from there to Italy, amazon.co.uk can't send Kindles to addresses outside the UK.
Do sell storage box's and if they the seller and order is over £25, free P&P ....Super Saver...may be worth a look ?

Beside our 'green bin' I have seen all sorts including, old tv's, sun loungers, hoovers etc, (never a washing machine tho), all do seem to go...either before or when bin emptied....maybe worth a try as one man's rubbish is another mans brass, if you get my drift... ps.. Are the sun loungers still useable and does the washing machine still spin ? Ax pps.. Washing machine stainless steel drums make good containers when buried for plants to restrict root growth....the tap sort ! Ax
