The garden is at it's most colourful now with iris's and roses looking good. Thinking ahead, I find July and August there is a lack of flowering plants.

Just enjoyed a lovely bass cooked on the BBQ.  Not being very scientifically minded, if I was to bury the remains, head, bones and tail and plant something on top would it rot down and become what we know as blood, fish and bone ???

Here we go...assuming you have saucepan to deep fry them in.... Matthews stuffed flowers....from Sarah \ravens Garden cookbook...have made...delicious...   16 flowers 200g peas - frozen is fine 300g Philadelphia or other cream cheese Salt and Pepper Small bunch parsley, coarsely chopped 1 tbsp olive oil Olive oil for frying   Tempura 225g flour 2 eggs 375ml cold lager Salt and Pepper Make batter.  Sifted flour and seasoning in bowl, well in the centre, add eggs and with balloon whisk mix in the lager to make batter thickness of double cream.  Put in fridge. Remove stigmas from flowers.  Cook peas in salted water for 3mins.  In bowl combine peas, cream cheese, S&P, parsley and a little of the oil. Using fingers part flower petals, leaving a finger inside to keep open, stuff flower with tsp of mixture, seal the pointed end with a twist. Heat 10cm of oil to 170c in deep pan, making sure it doesnt come more than a third up the sides of pan (no thermometer drop cube of bread in, it should turn golden brown in less than a minute.)  Dip each flower in batter and fry them turning after 30 secs and again after 2 mins.  When golden remove and drain on kitchen roll.  Best eaten hot, sprinkled with sea salt and ground blk pepper.

Have to disagree with you. Fly with Ryanair normally 20 times a year...for last 5 years...Have never been treated badly and as others say good value...normally no more than £50 return often less...no one else can compete with their prices when you book on-line and in advance.     Ryanair is good and should not be given hard time so dont use and dont moan if not happy with service.

Thank you all for good advice...  Bought flour with picture of cake and tart on bag.  Found some sachets of 'lievito del pasticciere' too.  Made a carrot cake that smelt good when cooking and does resemble a cake....Proof is in the eating tho'....sure the mascapone - sweetened with vanilla flavoured icing sugar will help it slip down a treat...

Sure all will be ok Am.... Did drive down with 2 x 18yrs young cats 5 year agao and Dylano of course.  Did not stop over night tho' as thought best to get it over with asap......Both cats travelled well, settled down in baskets and slept most of the time......Enjoyed chasing lizards for 3 years and soaking up the sun, then both cats (they were sisters) died within 2 weeks of each other.  No regrets....
