We have some galvanized metal garage doors which we applied paint claiming to be suitable for the task, a couple of years ago but not long after began to blister and peel with the heat of the summer.

English Library opening in Servigliano (Palazzo Monti, Via Vecchiotti, 7) on Monday 4th April, 10am - 12 midday. Initially open on 1st and 3rd Monday mornings (market day) and Friday afternoons for now.

We think our desktop is nearing the time for replacement, and we need to have a machine running on UK/English software. Have done some research but so far have not found any company that will supply from UK to Italy.

We use my-private-network.co.uk and have found them pretty good. The major drawbanck is the broadband speed you have. Although we are with Alice7 which provides us with up tp 7mbs - ha, ha, ha - we have only recently been experiencing downloads of 1+mbs, before it was about .5 or .6 which was just about OK, but now it is fine for watching the TV, either live or "play again" stuff. It costs us £5.00 pcm.
Try Money Corp. Seem pretty good to us.

The beach is the place to be at the moment. Went down yesterday. Lovely light breeze, beautifully warm water. Bilss. However, you do have get into a warm car and drive there. Then you have to get into very hot car and drive back again. Still no pain, no gain as the silly saying goes.
We were recently quoted €800.00 for a survey, so it looks not too far away.
We've been using this for 3 years now and it's a godsend for phoning family and friends in UK, Gibralta and America. It is such good value and there are no limits. Also use Skype which is of course free but not all have access to PC or have good enough signal. It is easy enough to order services online with Telecom Italia but changing or cancelling them is a different matter. I think we wrote to them in the end...
And don't forget we have a small but growing library of books at Servigliano, open Mondays 10-12 and Fridays 3-5. Donations always welcome (plus we desperately need shelves!)
