The Tuscan city of Lucca, also known as the City of a Hundred Churches, is gearing up to host a huge international magic and esoteric arts fair for the second year running.

Visitors to the city's Punto Fiera exhibition space will be able to tour 70 stalls and visit fortune tellers, palm readers, numerologists, mediums and even exorcists as well as buy garden gnomes, models of fairies and dragons, tarot cards, incense and rare books.

In addition to the stalls, the fair offers a host of alternative therapies such as regressive hypnosis, rebirthing and other new-age treatments, and seminars on evidence of alien landings and UFO sightings.

The fair's website, www.magiaemistero.it, meanwhile offers a guide to the theoretical principles of witchcraft and a section dedicated to those who wish to report ''UFO sightings, crop circles, (alien) abductions and anything else relevant to ufology research''.

Between Dream, Magic and Mystery'' runs in Lucca from January 3-6 and 10-11.
