yes, again "mamma". Yesterday I watched a TV show and was delighted by Bocelli's voice singing a twenties italian song: "Mamma son tanto felice"My grandmother still tells me about her coming back from work and singing this wonderful song with her
"Fatti mandare dalla mamma" by Gianni Morandi (1944 - ). He achieved a national stardom with this song in 1962. He won a number of Italian popular song festivals such as Canzonissima in 1969 and Festival di Sanremo in 1987.
I believe that people who fell in love with Italy, fell in love also with its culture. Italian songs are part of me - as an Italian - and part of Italian culture.
They may not be high quality photos - this is not a photo competition.I just would like to share with you how I see Italy and the best things that attracted my eyes during my trips in Italy.Hope this will be a place to share your favourite photos

We received an email about two Fundraising exhibitions with auction to raise money to help to rebuild the 18th Century church Santa Maria del Suffragio in L’Aquila.
somebody travelled from the West Midlands to find a home in Puglia (deep in the South)… by motorbike! story here then why not by camper van! :) you could avoid accommodation and transport costs, plus, many places in Italy are equipped with campersites! In bocca al lupo, wish you the best!
Yes, you're right, when you are looking for something in a big country it would be best to answer a few questions: I'm looking for a place totally different from where I live? Am I open to climate changes? I'd like to live in a tiny village or in a big metropolis? After you answer these and other personal questions, you may concentrate on a specific area. I know it doesn't help you a lot, but at least it is a beginning! :) good luck!
Hi and welcome! just ask and hopefully you'll find a load of answers! at least I hope.. I'm sure many members have already experienced a move to Italy and have enough knowledge and advice for you. Do have a look at the Property and Living topics of the community. Which region are you interested in? Buona fortuna!

it's in Italian but has a lot of info about the transport network around the Livorno area: http://www.provincia.livorno.it/economia/areavasta/text/sistema.htm Livorno is 20 Km from Pisa Airport and it seems to be well connected also by train with main towns: Genova, Firenze, Pisa and Roma.
