Questions Asked

I know this problem has been mentioned in an earlier post, but it has just reared its ugly head again. When we changed the registration of the Citroen from UK to Italian, despite there being a tow bar fitted, it was not noted on the registration.

Anyone know how to ask for the skin to be left on a pork roast, so that you can get the crackling?? Just had a beautiful loin roast from the butcher, but they cut all the skin off before it is on display, so no nice crunchy bits when roasted.

For those of you, who walk dogs around the San Ruffino tracks. There is an Italian Woman who sometimes has been seen there with an Alsatian, quite often not on a lead.

Stalk & clean 1lb of sloes, prick all over with a darning needle and put in a bottling jar. Add 3-4oz of granulated sugar + a few drops of almond essence or a little Noyeau liqueur.

Anyone have a Canon printer that uses the BCI 24C colour cartridges? I have 5 unused compatible cartridges, as now have a Epson printer. Free to a good home, as against throwing them in the bin!!

Is there a function so that we can insert a PDF or Word document into a post? I have some information for the Energy certificate topic, but cannot see any way to insert it without copying and pasting( PDF of about 7 pages).

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc.

You must be using a lot of electricity, as my June July (16/05 to 16/07) consumption in total is  only 751Kwh. Also what power supply did you have on single phase in 2006, as prices have increased quite a lot since then. Cost was only 241.48 Our bill for 15Kw supply 04/05 - 03/07/2006 was 228.70, with a usage of 940 Kwh in the period.

Must have been a new regulation Clombardelli, as our 15kw/3phase supply was on a overhead cable to the house initially, 7 years ago. I dug out a trench, disconnected the cable from the Enel meter and put it underground, not 100 mtrs though!!, so there might have been a distance issue on your installation.

We have a 15kw 3 phase system here. The 3 phase is mainly for the heat pump. I would have thought that only the change would be the fuse box. Here there is one in the technical room direct from the Enel supply, and the feed from that goes into the house to supply the normal appliances. with another fuse box internally. Does seem to be a lot of money he is asking.

It does not specify all, or just one supplier. Just reading the article, seems to be all. But then it's Italy, so who knows!!!

No Colonel Mustard. I did look it all up, but it seemed pretty time consuming, so easier to get the frozen ones!! Thanks Angie, know where you mean, so will get there in the near future. It's not just veggie food though I hope.

This recipe is one I tried recently and came out very well. It is Cantonese, so not as spicy as most. http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1939,153189-225198,00.html I now have the spring roll wrappers as well from the Chinese shop, so next week is making the Thai style ones. This was the nearest that I could find to the recipe that I have here, just miss the prawns/pork out for a veggie version. http://www.grouprecipes.com/13915/thai-spring-roll.html
