Hi  We need urgent information on this as we have been told what looks like rubble to us is "stabilizzante" a mix of gravel and sand to harden off and level out an area where a building has been knocked down to create a solid base....?

Hi   Has anyone any idea if the Italian Poste has the equivalent of a bankers draft and if so, are there are any limits on the amount and what is the cost...?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the current cost to have an old(ish) 250sqm house rewired? Also do you know if they do low level voltage lighting?

We are unsure about moving articles over there as opposed to buying when we get there, but know it will likely cost more to buy over there and be more hassle. So we want to get an idea of the cost of moving some of our stuff out there?

We are here in Abruzzo now and are thinking about privately buying a car. We have been told we need a notario to buy, is that correct? If this is the case does anyone have any idea of the likely cost?

Modi, are you saying the project could cost 40000?

Thu, 09/12/2019 - 15:19

Yep, one I forgot Fineco here...

Is this what you are looking for?

I would take notice of what Modi is saying! Even the top of the range cost looks low from what I've read on that area. But you really need to understand what Modi has said. It's no good thinking if I've been told all is okay and I'll go to court if there is a problem, it just does not work that way in Italy....

You can do the same for furniture via CurrencyFair, Transferwise or even a Caxton, Fairfx or Halifax clarity card and pay little or nothing in fees. Paypal will cost, but may be needed for some things.

You are looking at a non-resident account and many banks there no longer offer such. They give various reasons, but I suspect like the UK many are scared about money laundering risks. Have you thought about other options such as CurrencyFair, Transferwise or even Paypal. The only one I can see a problem with is ACA whom you are likely with for water. The problem is actually getting the bill or even knowing when you will get one, last I looked they had no facility to get the bill on line, all the other utils you can.

Dream could turn into a nightmare, so take your time. How long has this place been on the market?

Perhaps a long time back, no doubt things will have changed, but this link may help.

Erratic system, often on Firefox I could not even get logged in and sometimes just no bill download. Used Google, and now and then that worked, but again often not. Very hit and miss at times.
