Questions Asked

I know this problem has been mentioned in an earlier post, but it has just reared its ugly head again. When we changed the registration of the Citroen from UK to Italian, despite there being a tow bar fitted, it was not noted on the registration.

Anyone know how to ask for the skin to be left on a pork roast, so that you can get the crackling?? Just had a beautiful loin roast from the butcher, but they cut all the skin off before it is on display, so no nice crunchy bits when roasted.

For those of you, who walk dogs around the San Ruffino tracks. There is an Italian Woman who sometimes has been seen there with an Alsatian, quite often not on a lead.

Stalk & clean 1lb of sloes, prick all over with a darning needle and put in a bottling jar. Add 3-4oz of granulated sugar + a few drops of almond essence or a little Noyeau liqueur.

Anyone have a Canon printer that uses the BCI 24C colour cartridges? I have 5 unused compatible cartridges, as now have a Epson printer. Free to a good home, as against throwing them in the bin!!

Is there a function so that we can insert a PDF or Word document into a post? I have some information for the Energy certificate topic, but cannot see any way to insert it without copying and pasting( PDF of about 7 pages).

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc.

Our house was fairly badly damaged in the earthquakes as well. Our insurance company has been excellent. They supplied a temporary accomodation unit, plus a new heat pump as the other was damaged. Renewal was due in May and came through with no problem, although the premium had increased, which we expected.Repairs start on the house within the next weeks and hopefully completed by the new year.Perhaps worth getting in touch with them.Intasure.com

Car tax is for the whole year, not by month. If you sell or give away the car, then you have to do a registration change, and the other person pays for that.http://www.calcolaonline.com/controllo-del-pagamento-bollo.htm?ref:iaconet

I do not know about the water filtration, but you could use the borehole for a ground source type heat pump. There may be local restrictions though, depending on whether it is sealed or a discharge type.

Maybe, have a look at the Ariston Nuos for your domestic hot water. It is a air source unit that can be wall mounted.www.ariston.comNot knowing about how large the house is, you could use air/air inverters on each floor for heating, or alternatively, something like the new Airx air/water heat pump. This would require a buffer tank as you have radiators.

You have no PM facility on this site, so if you post a email address it is open to every spammer etc. to see.I admit I will never put my open email on here, as there is enough spam that comes in the postings, with virtually no moderation.

This thread went to bed some time ago, but thought it may be a good time to revisit it again.Italian drivers are pretty much incompetent with anything.GJ who I think is in her mid 20's, says we should all be taking the italian driving test. My wife was learning to drive in a Masserati Quatroporto a little younger than her. Her later cars were Jaguar E type, ( engine and wheels stolen in Milan ), Austin Healy 3000, plus a few ferraris and big mercs, Astons etc, as her father was sales director of Mercedes Park Lane in London. My life in the early days, was converting american cars to go faster, as we had a few American bases nearby.

You will have very little chance of finding things like lemon grass here, coriander and tarragon maybe. Order the seeds online, like I do and grow your own.http://www.nickys-nursery.co.uk/garden-shop/seeds/As to No2 I have no idea

Normal Italian driving. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured. The organisers should have been prosecuted for allowing spectators to sit on the virtual exit to a 90 degree bend. In my years of road rallies I have never seen such stupidity, but then, this is Italy.http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-10-07/spectators-narrowly-escape-tumbling-car-italy-jolly-rally/5794504
