James Appleton is a Milan-based freelance writer from the UK. As well as contributing to Italy Magazine, he serves as an editor for Lonely Planet and has written for the likes of the Metro and openDemocracy. Having married into an Italian family in June 2019, he is in love with all things Italy - particularly the food.
