Baunei is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro, Sardinia.
It is notable for being the location of the multi-day Selvaggio Blu coastal trek.The itinerary extends for over 40 kilometers (approximately 25 miles), from the touristic port of Santa Maria Navarrese (Baunei) to the beach of Cala Sisine (Baunei). It takes on average 4 days to complete.
The Supramonte mountain range of Baunei, the home of hiking, extends around the village, with trekking trails that stretch from the mountains to the sea and its vertical rock faces are a rock climbing paradise.
Important beaches are Cala Goloritzè, Cala Sisine, Cala Luna and Cala Biriola.
