Oliena (Sardinia)

Oliena is a town in the Province of Nuoro, Sardinia. The territory of Oliena extends towards the north-eastern slope of the Supramonte, as far as the eastern foot of mount Ortobene, embracing the valley crossed by Cedrino river, which opens towards the plains of Galtellì and Orosei. Founded during the Roman era at the foot of the limestone massif, Corrasi, the small village of Oliena is rich in history and characterized by captivating valleys and mountains. A visit to the spring of Su Gologone is a must. It has been declared a national monument, thanks to its extremely deep blue and green icy waters.

Recipes From Sardinia

Our recipe of the week is made with "fregula", similar to couscous but with a more toothsome bite. This grain is typical to Sardinia and best serves with a delicious clam sauce.

Flights from Rome to Sardinia

Does anyone know if RyanAir is the only airline that flies from Rome to Sardinia, direct.
